Measures of Success

The success of the program will be measured through student attendance, student math & English language arts grade progress and through program evaluation surveys completed throughout the school year to evaluate the effectiveness of the activities. The coordinator will also keep track of emergent bilingual student attendance rate to increase student attendance and engagement. There will be regular program staff feedback surveys and community guest speaker surveys to provide program experience.

Project Expectations and Direction

  • Program facilitators/staff will receive training over the Four Domains and a BOY, MOY and EOY meeting to address the goals and expectations. The program coordinator will make regular group visits to support and answer any staff questions throughout the school year.
  • Create an open communication system among each group, all group facilitators and throughout all the student/staff groups; become a Journeys community of support
  • Consultant Community Catalyst Partners will provide program staff a total of up to 40 hours of training and support through the school year to support with the “Issues to Action” project.
  • Will provide awards and recognition to students that have outstanding participation, show leadership and demonstrate personal growth towards the end of the school year to highlight their hard work.
