Students should stay at home if ...

HEALTHY STUDENTS MAKE BETTER LEARNERS


It is recommended that your student should stay at home if any of these symptoms exist:

  • Fever 100.0 F or greater
  • Body aches
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Severe Headache
  • Rash
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea

Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-suppressing medications. (Fever is 100.0 or greater).

Students must be diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of diarrhea-suppressing medications. (Diarrhea is 3 or more episodes of loose stools in a 24-hour period). Communicable Disease Chart and Notes for Schools and Childcare Centers, 3-24-2024 version.
