Career Opportunities
We’re hiring! Fort Worth ISD is looking for dedicated bus drivers to join our team. Bus drivers are an essential part of our FWISD team — they are the first face our students see, and are responsible for safely getting them to and from school!
The district will provide paid CDL training for those hired. Most of our drivers work overtime and starting pay is $22.75 an hour, with great health insurance and retirement benefits.
Interested in joining? Starting in June and through December, the FWISD Transportation Department will hold weekly hiring fairs every Wednesday at the Wilkerson-Greines Activities Center. There is no RSVP, just show up for on the spot interviews! Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Our mission is to provide your students with safe, reliable, timely and efficient transportation to and from school, field trips, athletic events and other extra-curricular school activities. We have a great staff of personnel who work tirelessly to make sure that we accomplish our mission.
Since our drivers are the first and last school representatives serving students every day, the District wants to ensure that your children start and end each day in a positive way. All drivers have undergone physicals, background checks, drug tests, annual training, first aid, CPR training and more. School buses are one of the safest forms of transportation in the world, and each bus is equipped for minor emergencies or injuries.
Stopfinder Parent App
FWISD is making it easier to stay connected with your students while they are on the school bus.
With the Stopfinder app, you can receive real-time updates on the bus location and when your student badges on and off the bus. You can even customize the type of notifications you’d like to receive.

Ride the Bus

- Students need to be physically seen and in plain sight to ensure proper pick-up.
- Stop times reflect the expected bus arrival time during good weather. Inclement weather or traffic congestion may cause the route to run later than posted times.
- Special Needs Routes are NOT listed. If you require Special Needs Transportation, please call 817-815-7900.
