Food Insecurity Support
Services available to my students, community, and campus through the Food Insecurities Program
The purpose of this support will be to assist campuses with eradicating food insecurities district-wide. The goal of this focused support is to acquire and maintain partnerships to support the advancement of the work in communities for the long term.
Specific Support
- Monitor & track campus market family & community attendance.
- Track the number of campus markets district-wide (Opened by Parent Partnerships).
- Collect and disaggregate campus market survey data.
- Conduct Campus Food Resource Site Visits: (BOY, MOY, EOY)
- Organize a consortium to discuss opportunities to work collectively in efforts to support Fort Worth ISD campus markets. (Monthly Meetings-American Heart Association, Texas Health, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Etc.)
- Maintain current community partnerships.
- Collects campus market data and leverages it to communicate, inform, and empower food resource coordinators at campuses.
- Conducts training and presentations to continually remind and support FES/FCOS staff, and to encourage the families of students to use resources provided by FWISD.
- Collaborates with community, health, and other social services organizations to connect with specific campus markets. Specifically supports collaborative projects between the district and community organizations relevant to food resources and ensures the collection of data on participation.
