Students in Foster Care
On any given day, approximately 16,000 school-aged children and youth in Texas schools are in foster care. While they represent a small portion of the overall student population, these students face distinct and often profound challenges that can significantly affect their educational success.
Foster Children & Youth in Fort Worth ISD
Our department provides dedicated support and services to foster children and youth enrolled at Fort Worth ISD, with the goal of ensuring educational stability and success.
We work collaboratively with campus support staff and other departments to help students access essential resources, including:
- Transportation Assistance
- Immediate Enrollment
- Nutrition Services
- Transition Planning
- Community Resource Access
