1. How do I log into the new Frontline Substitute Management Center (SMC)?
You can access the Frontline SMC by visiting the District Webpage or by clicking Frontline SMC. Follow the on-screen prompts to register your account.
2. How do I navigate the Frontline SMC system?
Training resources are available in the Technology Resource Library on the Division of Technology page. Navigate to Frontline Substitute Functions to locate the following Quick Reference Guides (QRGs):
3. Is the Frontline Substitute Management Center and the Frontline Employee Service Center access the same?
No. These are two distinct systems for substitutes, each serving different functions:
· Frontline Substitute Management Center (SMC): the SMC allows substitutes to:
o Search and accept assignments
o View current assignments
o Manage substitute-related activities

4. What can I do when logged into Frontline Service Center?
To review your time entries, log into the Frontline Employee Service Center (ESC). Please note: this platform requires a separate User ID and password from your Frontline SMC account. Once registered, you can access:
- Payroll checks
- Direct deposit details
- Employee information
- Additional employment records. Navigate to the Frontline ESC Overview section for guidance.
5. How do I clock in and out for my assignment?
Time clocks are available at most campuses. Use your badge to clock in upon arrival and clock out at departure. For assistance, refer to:
6. Does my badge allow me door access on campus?
No. Beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year, increased security measures have removed badge-based access to campus doors. Upon check-in, guest badges will be issued for the duration of your assignment. If a guest badge is misplaced or damaged, a replacement fee of $27 will apply.
7. My badge was lost or is broken; how do I get a replacement?
Due to the costs associated with the maintenance of the ID badge equipment, there is a $27.00 charge for all replacement badges, which would include lost/stolen/damaged/broken/cracked badges. For more information, please see District Badges.
8. Is a paper time card still required?
No, paper time cards are no longer in use. However, upon arrival, substitutes must check in with the campus administrative assistant and sign the daily substitute roster
