The Employee Benefits Department is responsible for providing access to voluntary core benefits for eligible employees and dependents utilizing the advantage of group rates through payroll deduction.
Premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis (prior to the calculation of federal income tax) for TRS ActiveCare Health Plans, dental plans and vision plan provided through Humana Specialty Benefits and United Concordia and Flexible Spending Accounts available through Higginbotham. Employees who select TRS ActiveCare 1 HD employee and/or employee and dependents are eligible to participate in Health Savings Accounts provided by EECU Credit Union. Premiums are deducted post-tax for disability insurance provided through The Hartford Insurance Company, portable life insurance through Texas Life Insurance Company, TRS Group Long Term Care Insurance Program, accident insurance provided through CHUBB, cancer insurance provided through American Public Life, Emergency Medical transportation provided through MASA Medical Transport Solutions and term life insurance provided by MetLife.
Savings and retirement programs, 403(b) and 457(b), are available through TCG Administrators.
