On behalf of the faculty and staff at Mary Louise Phillips Elementary School, I would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! Our theme this school year is based on the television series Survivor, and our motto is “Achievers- Out Read, Out Write, Out Learn!”
As the new principal at Mary Louise Phillips Elementary School I am privileged and honored to be joining the ML Phillips family. Throughout my career in education I have worked in various districts within the Dallas-Fort Worth area as well as taught the children of active-duty military members serving overseas in both Portugal and Italy for the Department of Defense. As a teacher, I taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grade, as well as worked as a K-12 gifted specialist.
In addition to my work in education, I am blessed to be a wife and mother. My husband also works in education, and together we have five children, four boys and one girl, between the ages of 16 months to 17 years. Outside of time spent with my family I also enjoy spending time with friends, reading and traveling.
ML Phillips ES is an amazing school, and we are excited about the work that we will do together to the benefit of your child. We believe ALL of our MLP students can achieve at high levels and reach their individualized goals. This year MLP has a lot of fun learning ahead, and we look forward to all that your child will achieve this school year by igniting their curiosity and excitement for learning as we prepare all students for success in college, career and community leadership.
