I grew up in Clarksville, Tennessee and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Austin Peay State University. After moving to Georgia, I received my Master of Education degree (Mathematics) from Georgia State University. I have been teaching on and off for over 20 years. My teaching career started in Georgia where I taught at a public high school and later at a private middle school. I have taught all subjects in Math from Algebra 1 to Calculus. I took a break from teaching to raise my children, but continued to tutor students during those years. I have been working at Arlington Heights since 2008. Family is very important to me. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and have two sons. Both are engineering students who will graduate from Texas A&M and the United States Naval Academy soon. From 2001-2004 we lived in South Korea where my husband had an overseas assignment with Lockheed Martin. Our family is very active in our church. I have been on numerous mission trips to Ukraine and have loved serving the community through our church.
