  • The Paschal Panther Boys and Girls Varsity Wrestling Teams travelled to Haltom City this past weekend for the Region 1-6A Tournament. Paschal Wrestling took a Panther record 14 Regional Qualifiers this year! This included Freshmen Teresa Hinojosa and Andrew Bettle; Sophomores Maddy Hendrix, Armando Perez, and Edgar Enriquez; Juniors Grace Anderson, Jimmy Strange, and Isaac Ellis; and Seniors Anna Delony, Aileen Robledo, Brittany Aparicio, Jake Lee, Brandon Trevino, and Jason Ekeroth. All Paschal wrestlers competed at a high level and represented our school with pride, grit, and determination.

The Paschal Wrestling coaches are extremely excited to announce that we are returning to the State Tournament in Houston this year with 4 senior wrestlers, also a new Panther record. Senior Brittany Aparicio, with a season record of 29-10, placed 5th in the Girls 165 Pound weight class and qualified as one of only 4 State Alternates at 165. Senior Jake Lee, with a season record of 40-3, placed 5th in the Boys 182 Pound weight class and likewise qualified as one of only 4 State Alternates at 182. That puts these two outstanding athletes in the top 20 wrestlers at their respective weights in the entire state of Texas. Congratulations Brittany and Jake!!

Finally, huge congratulations are in order for Seniors Anna Delony and Aileen Robledo. On Saturday, these two ladies became Paschal Wrestling's first ever Region 1-6A Champions! Senior and 4 year wrestler Anna Delony, with a season record of 25-6, took 1st Place in the Girls 110 Pound weight class. Senior and 4 year wrestler Aileen Robledo, with a season record of 40-3, took 1st Place in the Girls 185 Pound weight class. If you see either of these two superb wrestlers this week, be sure to offer them congratulations and wish them good luck as they go on to represent Paschal at the State Wrestling Tournament in Houston this weekend and try to cement their place as Paschal Royalty by becoming Panther Wrestling's first ever State Finalists.

    Congratulations and Good Luck Panthers!!!

  • Paschal Community,

The importance of playing multiple sports is key to the health and well-being of our student-athletes. Please read the attached article of a recent study that was funded by the National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS). Please encourage your student-athletes to make the most of their time as a high school and participate in multiple sports. Remember that we are not defined at Paschal HS as football players, volleyball players, etc., but as PANTHERS and LADY PANTHERS!
