  • The first Drew Medford Memorial Tournament was a HUGE success, thanks to our supportive community of friends and local businesses. We had six participating teams and awarded $12,000 in scholarships to local players.

We are thrilled to announce that we have more than doubled the number of teams participating in the 2nd annual tournament to be played March 8-10. This year, 16 local baseball teams will participate. The host sites are Paschal, Arlington Heights, Mansfield Summit & Mansfield Legacy.  In addition to the host schools, the remaining participants are:  Fort Worth Country Day School, Dallas Molina, Duncanville High School, Fossil Ridge, L.D. Bell, Weatherford, Arlington Martin, Arlington Seguin, Mansfield Timberview, Seagoville, Mansfield High, and Ennis high schools.

New this year, we will host a home run derby at D-Bat for ages 6-14. In addition, the night before the tournament starts, we will host a dinner for all participating teams at D-Bat.

As we did in the inaugural tournament, we plan to award one scholarship to a member from each participating team. Your tax-deductible donation will help fund scholarships for 16 high school athletes and the tournament. We hope you will consider joining us in our effort to memorialize Drew, support these local athletes and award scholarships to further their education.

Our goal is to increase the number of teams participating and increase the value of the scholarships awarded.  We hope to attract teams from all around the region and country, in years to come.  Attached to this email is a sponsorship form. To read more about Drew and the tournament, please visit the website at www.dmed12.org.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Drew Medford Memorial Tournament Committee
