  • We had 5 teams running at 3 different locations this week. Busy week but very productive and lots of great results!!
The Varsity ran Friday at UTA in the UTA-Bowie Challenge. It is one of the most competitive Girls Fields in the Area. The Boys got to go up against a lot of our district opponents and ran extremely well! We had 13 Personal Bests (PB) and set or lowered 3 School Records!

    Girls Varsity
Tyller Lampkin ran 3 PBs in the 100, 200 and 400. She was 5th in the 400 and now is ranked 5th in the District.
A'reonna Johnson ran 2 PBs in both the 100 and the 200.
Pryscilla Lopez continues her strong early season. She was 3rd in the 3200 in a PB.
Samantha Palma had another 2 PBs finishing 3rd in the 1600 and 5th in the 800.

    Boys Varsity
All 3 of our Relays ran very well.
The 4x200 team of Kaylon Geiger, Zach Nunn, Christian Fell and Nick Watts won and set a School Record, beating the time we ran at Regionals last year
The 4x100 team of Kaylon Geiger, Zach Nunn, Jaylon Robinson and Nick Watts ran a season best time, finishing 2nd!
The 4x400 team of Kaylon Geiger, Chase Bell, Christian Fell and Greg Sholars ran a solid race to finish 3rd.
Kaylon Geiger set a PB clearing 6'2" and winning the High Jump.
Zach Nunn was right behind him, clearing 6'0" and finishing 3rd.
Jaylon Robinson won the Long Jump! He was also 2nd in the 110H and 300H, setting PBs and lowering his School Record in both Hurdle races.
Gregory Sholars won the 100 and the 200, again!
Chase Bell ran a PB, finishing 4th in a tough field in the 800!
Distance runners Wyatt Ellison, Robbie Russel and Patrick Estes all ran under 5' in the 1600!
Nick Watts was 5th in the 200 and JC Rispress 5th in the 100.

The Junior Varsity ran Thursday at Keller in tough conditions, winds gusting to 35 mph against probably the toughest field we have faced yet!

    Girls Junior Varsity
Ava Crum had her usual great meet. She won the 100H and 300H, setting PB in both. She was also 2nd in the HJ.
Anna Taylor also had another solid meet, winning the Long Jump and finishing 2nd in the Triple Jump.
Danielle Wilson was 4th in the 200.

    Boys Junior Varsity
The 4x100 Relay of Jimmy Strange, Criss Garcia, Isaac Vera, and Prodigy Williams finished 2nd running the best time of the year for the JV.
The 4x400 team of Jimmy Strange, Thomas Jarrett, Brendon Carrillo and Brice Hill were 5th.
Brice Hill was 3rd in the Triple Jump.
Prodigy Williams was 3rd in the 100.
Brendon Carrillo was 6th in the 400m.

Our Freshman Team continues to compete well on the DFW Freshman Circuit. Freshmen Parker Williams, Gianni Roberts, Sean Parnell, Ben Larson and Olaph Sanchez are performing especially well.

This Thursday our Varsity and Junior Varsity compete at Azle.
We have also qualified for the Texas Relays. Kaylon Geiger, Greg Sholars, Jaylon Robinson and Nick Watts will be traveling to Austin Friday to compete again the State's best!!
