Ms. McCollum has a BA in Spanish from Florida State University and a MA in Education Administration from Texas Woman's University. She studied at the Yale College Teacher Preparation Program PIER-Latin American Studies at Yale University and Austin College Foreign Language Technology and Immersion Program in Texas. She received a fellowship to the College Board Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is selected as Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women. Ms. McCollum has served on state and local textbook panels for Spanish. In addition to teaching the aforementioned subjects, she has taught Spanish I and II as well as Spanish for Heritage speakers. She has also served as a reader for the AP Spanish Language exam.
