7th grade English Language Arts

This is my 25th year teaching and I still get excited to come to work each day! I love my students and I love teaching. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. I worked at General Dynamics (Lockheed) for five years as a Numerical Control Programmer on 5-axis machines. I went back to school at Texas Woman’s University and earned my teaching certificate with a specialization in Reading. In 2014, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I am a lifelong learner who seeks and relishes learning new things. I have a son, Reese, who is a University of Texas Longhorn. He graduated in 2017 with his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He is a sports fanatic. His girlfriend, Morgan, also a Longhorn is a welcomed member of the family. My daughter, Kit, is an Aggie. She is in her sophomore year at Texas A & M University in College Station. She is pursuing a degree in Nutrition and wants to become a nurse. She is an avid artist. I am an empty nester looking forward to my first year of teaching 7th grade. I eagerly anticipate this adventure as the newest KMS Wildcat!
