7:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.
    January 20th, February 24th, March 24th, April 21st and May 19th

Sessions will be 30 minutes and will include self-care activities and challenges.

The FWISD Division of Equity & Excellence is excited to announce the launch of the FWISD Self-Care Café.  The purpose of this space will be to help support our adult staff to learn about ways to take care of self.

Self-care is a general term that describes everything you do deliberately for your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. As simple as it sounds, many of us pay little attention to self-care. This is why ‘deliberately' is one of the most important words in the definition. You need to be conscious of your well-being before you can achieve true self-care. It starts from the simple acts like not checking emails at night when you know it affects your sleep and extends to more important decisions like going for a vacation or booking a massage when you feel you need one.

In order to support the success of ALL Fort Worth ISD students and to ensure all students are prepared for College, Career, and Community Leadership, the Division of Equity and Excellence will ensure equity in all practices and at all organizational levels in FWISD by providing professional development to build a deep and common understanding of the impact of institutionalized racism and equity, specifically racial equity, on student achievement.

"The District recognizes that major historical and societal factors in our nation impact the inequity that exists within public schools.  Purposeful action can be taken to identify, acknowledge, and overcome racial and ethnic disparities between students. The responsibility for addressing these disparities among students rests with the adults, not with the students."  ~Board Policy AE(LOCAL)

We believe in the FWISD Motto, Mission, Vision, and Values and align our work to these ideals.
