Social studies

As a kid I wanted to be a teacher and was insipred to teach social studies by my 8th grade social studies teacher. He made history come alive for me. This made me want to do the same for others. I have a passion for history and for teaching that is what I want to share with my students and hope to inspire them too.

I am proud Wyatt Alumni that was inspired to give back to the community. I received the TCU Community Scholar Award, through this program I had the opportunity to serve as the College and Career Readiness Advisor for two years, through TCU, prior to becoming a teacher. As College and Career Readiness Advisor I ensured that hundreds of students were prepared to enter the world post High School, I was also named the National College Advisor my second (and last) year. As a classroom teacher I actively work to carry on the mission of college readiness through rigorous course work and a focus on the future.
