Mrs. Montes was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and possesses a Professional Certificate for School Administrators from Concordia University in Austin, TX. She began her Education career in White Settlement ISD before starting in Fort Worth ISD. This is her 20th year in Education and 5th year as the Principal at Western Hills Elementary School. 

One of Mrs. Montes's core beliefs is that no matter who you are or where you've come from, you can always change and become a better version of yourself. She instills this in the students, staff, and school everyday! "Excellence is the Only option!"

I am a proud mother, wife, and dedicated educator. I have served as an elementary school teacher, instructional coach, and now as an Assistant Principal with Fort Worth ISD. As a devoted educator in Fort Worth ISD, I strive to build meaningful relationships and lead through honesty, inspiration, and compassion.

 I have a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from LamarUniversity and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas. My goalis to collaboratively lead a campus that exemplifies continuous improvement and, embodies a positive culture where teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders work together to support the social, emotional, and academic success of all students.My passion is to serve others. I am committed to transforming the lives of today’s young learners into tomorrow’s leaders.

Ms. Carmen Vera

 I have gained over 15 years of experience in education.  My past work experience has been for Dallas ISD in various position from a bilingual teacher to an assistant principal.  I have been part of Fort Worth ISD for the last five years.  I am excited to continue my adventure in education – in service of the students, families, teachers and staff at Western Hills Elementary School for the current school year!

I believe in a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students.

Mrs. Tamiko Daniels

I am Tamiko Daniels, a native of Fort Worth and Fort Worth ISD. I graduated from Southwest High School. I obtained my BA from the University of North Texas (UNT) and a MA from Texas Women's University (TWU). I have worked in FWISD for 20 years in the role of a Prevention Specialist and an Assistant Principal. I am married and have three children. My favorite outings include going to track meets and basketball games. In my spare time, I like to go to garage sales to find rare treasures.  I believe that we, as educators, must create and facilitate a school culture that promotes "success" for ALL students.
