  • Response to Intervention

The National Center on Response to Intervention (NCRTI, 2010) defines RtI as follows: RTI integrates assessment and intervention within a multi-level prevention system to maximize student achievement and to reduce behavior problems. With RTI, schools use data to identify students at risk for poor learning outcomes, monitor student progress, provide evidence-based intervention, and adjust the intensity and nature of those interventions depending on students’ responsiveness.

    Multi-Tiered System of Support

MTSS is a prevention framework that organizes campus-level resources to address individual student’s academic, behavioral and/or social emotional needs within a three tiered model of intervention.

    Postive Behavior Interventions and Supports

PBIS is a three tiered behavior support framework for data driven decision-making that guides campus-level in the selection, integration, and implementation of positive, preventive and instructive behavioral practices.
