Heather Goulden

Mrs. Goulden is starting her 10th year at BHE. She has been in education for 19 years. She earned her BA in Psychology at The University of North Texas and began teaching in 2001. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the "light" go off when a child makes a connection when learning. She has a passion for warm weather and loves dogs! Mrs. Goulden got married in March. Her husband Richard loves to support BHE and is a pilot. She has a son, Kalen, who just began high school in Azle and is a swimmer. She also has a stepson, Matthew, who lives in Grand Cayman and is an amazing football player.

Ann Roels

Mrs. Roels is starting her 22nd year of teaching. She has been with Burton Hill Elementary for 13 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on early childhood in December of 1999. She also completed a master’s in education administration from TCU in December 2005. Mrs. Roels’ favorite thing about being a teacher is seeing the joy in her student’s eyes when they learn something new. When Mrs. Roels is not at school, she is spending time with her two children, husband, and puppy.

Ashley Boucher (ESCE)

Mrs. Boucher is starting her 3rd year as an ECSE Teacher with Burton Hill Elementary. She earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with Special Education from Tarleton State University December 2018. Mrs. Boucher’s favorite part about being a teacher is watching the students learn and grow throughout the school year. When Mrs. Boucher isn’t at school, she loves spending time with her husband and her two dogs.
