Ms. Bonin 

This is my 2nd year at Burton Hill Elementary as a 2^nd grade literacy teacher.  I am so excited to be here!  I have been teaching for 21 years. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Psychology.  I love teaching!  I feel honored to be a teacher and to have a part in helping a child grow into the best person they can be.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love traveling to new and exciting places.  I always look forward to that next trip to the ocean.  I am a certified scuba diver and on every dive I find myself amazed at the beauty of our oceans and the incredible sea creatures!  Lately, I have been trying a new hobby - growing flowers!  I also enjoy my volunteer work involving Bible Study, and I see great value in how it has helped my life.

Favorite Children’s Book:  The Night the Moon Fell by Pat Mora

The 2022-2023 school year will be Mrs. Jones' 24th year of teaching and her 21st year at Burton Hill. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in geology from McMurry University in Abilene, TX. In 1999, she decided to become a teacher and earned her teaching certification. She has been married for 33 years, and she has a son who is serving in the U.S. Air Force. She enjoys reading, word puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles.
