Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Skipper was born in Grand Prairie, Texas but at age five she moved to Costa Rica with her missionary family. She spent the rest of her childhood in Argentina and Mexico attending diverse educational institutions through High School. In 2002 she graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and received her Associate’s in Foreign Language and Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
She has taught with the Dallas Independent School District as a Bilingual first grade teacher and at Waxahachie Preparatory Academy as a third through sixth grade Science teacher. Furthering her education in 2008 she went back to her alma mater to work as a Resident Hall Director and obtain her Master’s Degree in School Counseling with certification in 2011.
Over the last four years she has been with Fort Worth Independent School District working at Young Women’s Leadership Academy and E.M. Daggett Elementary.
Ms. Skipper feels privileged to serve and aid with the emotional and academic needs of Rufino Mendoza Sr. Elementary. She hopes that each student will become “BeaUtiful”- being the best they can be by allowing their gifts and talents to shine forth as they grow into their own skin.
