Mrs. Karen Jaquez

Mrs. Jaquez is a third grade teacher at Rosemont Park Elementary.

She was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico and was brought to the United States when 10 years old. She has made Fort Worth, TX her home ever since.

Mrs. Jaquez has always wanted to be a teacher, that’s why she started working in FWISD in the Bilingual Teacher Assistant Program (BTAP) right out of high school. She attended Texas Christian University graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and was hired as a bilingual teacher, here at Rosemont Park! She has been teaching here since it first opened.

Mrs. Jaquez helps her students to strengthen basic foundations needed to communicate freely. She continues to follow her university mission:

“To educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community.” This mantra leads her to instill in her students the importance of academics, as they look to become our future doctors, lawyers, mathematicians, and of course teachers!

Mrs. Jaquez believes in always being kind to your neighbor and classmate, because you never know if you may need a leading hand in the future.
