Hi, my name is John Engel.  This is my third year as principal of Southwest High School.  Prior to working at Southwest High School, I was principal of Mclean Middle School and Mary Louise Phillips Elementary. I attended Salisbury State University, where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Education.  I later attended the University of Texas at Arlington where I received my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  I am married to my wife, Cassandra, and have four wonderful children.  I am thankful for the opportunity to work in such a supportive and positive environment.
