Aileen Martina-Quiñones

Aileen Martina was born and raised in Colombia and began her career in Fort Worth ISD in 1991 as a Bilingual teacher at Sam Rosen Elementary. She has earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music from the University of North Texas and possesses a Professional Certificate for School Administrators from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Aileen Martina was principal at Seminary Hills Elementary from 2004-2011.  She was principal at Rosemont Elementary School from 2011-2017.  

Mrs. Martina considers it a privilege and honor to have been chosen to become principal at the Leadership Academy at Mitchell Boulevard and to serve its community. It is her hope that everyone feels welcome when entering the school.

Vanessa Cuarenta

In her sixth year in education at Fort Worth ISD, Vanessa Cuarenta began her teaching career at Mitchell Blvd as a 2nd grade teacher and now returns as the Assistant Principal of the new Leadership Academy. Born and raised in Compton, California, Ms. Cuarenta holds her M.A. in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University and her B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Ms. Cuarenta previously served in the teacher development department of FWISD’s central office and as a 5th grade teacher at Rosemont Elementary. She is passionate about early-childhood literacy and developing teachers across grade levels to hold high expectations for all students.

As assistant principal of the Leadership Academy at Mitchell Boulevard, Ms. Cuarenta hopes to build a strong team of teachers and staff who work together to build a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
