Principal: Monica Ordaz
A Fort Worth native and graduate of the University of Notre Dame Mrs. Ordaz has dedicated her career to working with students from diverse backgrounds. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade at D.McRae Elementary School for seven years before becoming a literacy coach at Riverside Applied Learning Center. She received her Master's Degree in Language and Literacy from Harvard's Graduate School of Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington through Fort Worth ISD's Aspiring Principals Program. She served a one year administrative residency at McClung Middle School. Mrs. Ordaz was the Assistant Principal at Meadowbrook Elementary before being named Principal of Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
She lives in Fort Worth with Juan Carlos, her husband, and her three young daughters. Mrs. Ordaz believes that all children deserve the best education. With the support of parents and dedication of teachers, she works diligently at Cesar Chavez to carry out FWISD's vision to "ignite in EVERY child a passion for learning".
Assistant Principal: Olivia Keener
Mrs. Olivia Keener has been an educator for 11 years. She is a proud Native of Fort Worth and a product of the school system in which she currently serves. She received a Bachelor‘s Degree in Human Learning from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Mrs. Keener began her official teaching career at Glen Park Elementary and taught for six years in grades 3rd through 5th. She served as a Learning Network Specialist for two years and as an Instructional Campus Coach at Diamond Hill Elementary for a year; before being name Assistant principal at Cesar Chavez Elementary.
Mrs. Keener believes that all students need learning experiences that are personalized, engaging, and have the child at the center of their own learning. Her passion is in providing an educational experience that promotes critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Mrs. Keener's vision is to provide the foundation students need to build upon in order to become productive citizens; who will make meaningful contributions to the community.
Counselor: Ann Lupold
Hello! My name is Ann Lupold. I am so fortunate to be your school counselor. It is my privilege to serve the students of Cesar Chavez! I believe in that our students should be supported socially and, emotionally while encouraging their academic growth. I have been in elementary education for over 25 years!. I believe my role as school counselor is to help each student reach their full potential as a student while thinking about their future. Professionally, my goal is to help students with growth mindset, social skills, and healthy interpersonal relationships while presenting them with career and college goals. I am very excited to witness our students’ blossom into citizens of their community.
Data Analyst: Christine Kinkead
Mrs. Kinkead has worked as an educator in FWISD for 21 years. She was born and raised in Iowa and attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education in 1991. She taught elementary education for two years in Iowa before moving to Fort Worth in 1993. She joined FWISD in 1998 as a 1st grade teacher. Through the years she has worked with gifted and talented, reading resource and is currently a Data Analyst. She enjoys working with the teachers, students, families, and community of Cesar Chavez Elementary. Mrs. Kinkead lives in Keller with her husband, Jerry. She has three grown children and an adorable dog named Gracie. She enjoys traveling, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and her dog.
Librarian: Martha Self
Nurse: Amanda Webb
Mrs. Webb was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science of Nursing in 2011. She is currently attending the University of Texas at Arlington working on her Master in Science of Nursing to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. She began her nursing career working in a Dallas children’s hospital for almost 3 years. During that time she cared for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a step down care unit. She has been a school nurse with Fort Worth ISD for almost 6 years and loves being a part of the education system. Mrs. Webb loves working with children and strongly believes that education is the best way to impact their lives both in the short and long term. She is married and has 2 dogs who provide endless amounts of entertainment. She has not been blessed with children yet but is hopeful it will happen soon. In her free time she loves to garden, practice yoga, go sailing, travel, read and play with her dogs.
