Ms. P. Garcia

2nd Grade Dual Language Teacher

Ms. Garcia graduated from Ursinus College, in Pennsylvania, where she majored in Psychology and Spanish, and minored in Education. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas soon after, to pursue her dream of becoming a bilingual teacher. This will be her 11th year in education, and she is excited to join Manuel Jara Elementary! During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting family, and being creative.

Mrs. Gilliam-Gillis

2nd Grade Regular Program Teacher

Mrs. Gilliam-Gillis was born and raised here in Fort Worth. She graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. She began teaching in 2004, and has taught grades 1-4. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, and music. She also loves spending time with her wonderful husband, loving grandmother, and 2 precious dogs. She has a passion for teaching and learning, and considers herself blessed to have the opportunity to educate young minds and mold them into the leaders of the future!

Mrs. Abreu

3rd Grade Dual Language Teacher

Mrs. Abreu is a FWISD alumni and worked as a BTAP with FWISD before she began teaching. She obtained her bachelor's from Texas Woman's University and recently obtained her master's from UTA in instruction and curriculum in literacy studies.  She is married and has three children and many pets. She enjoys spending as much time with her family as she can, and she enjoys reading all genres of books. She wants her students to get excited about learning and to never stop learning. She is determined to instill a passion for reading in all of her students.

Mrs. Rosales

2nd Grade Dual Language Teacher

Mrs. Rosales grew up attending Fort Worth ISD and graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton. She loves to spend time with her family, travel, read books, and watch movies. She believes that education is one of the most powerful weapons that a child can have to change the world and it brings her great pleasure to be able to contribute. This year, she hopes to be able to teach, encourage, instruct, mentor, praise, influence, guide, and inspire her students!
