4th Grade Regular Program Teacher

Mrs. Aguirre graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Arts with minors in Math and Science. Her hobbies include watching Big Ten football, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. One of my favorite things about teaching is when kids realize they really can accomplish their goals, when maybe just a short time ago they did not believe in themselves. After they realize they CAN do it, their joy and enthusiasm for learning is so contagious! Another one of my favorite things is when students come disliking a certain subject and they leave at the end of the year loving it. Being able to share my excitement and passion for learning is a fantastic feeling! Last but not least, I love when, after hard work and dedication not only on my part but on the part of the student, the information clicks and all the sudden everything makes sense. That is a very rewarding experience.

My Favorite:

Book: The Notebook

Candy: Sour Watermelon Slices

Snack: Strawberries

Drink: Diet Coke/Water

I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014, receiving a bachelor’s degree in English, writing and rhetoric. My education fostered within me a passion for reading, writing, history, and learning in general that I look forward to sharing with my students. As a teacher, I’ve enjoyed the experience of watching students’ curiosity grow as they engage in a continual process of learning. I believe that every student is capable of tremendous growth when given the opportunity and encouragement to succeed.
