Mrs. Melissa Rincon
Principal Rincon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington then earned her master’s degree in education leadership at Tarleton State University. During her education career, Principal Rincon taught English at North Side High School, served as an academic coordinator at Dunbar High School, and an assistant principal at Polytechnic High School and North Side High School. As a first-year principal, her goal is to work collaboratively and build capacity among teachers and staff, and to focus on student learning.
Principal Rincon works to help campuses achieve through collective, team-based approaches, communication, and thorough planning. She is excited to lead William James and believes the William James community has rich traditions, resiliency and a history of excellence.
When not working, Principal Rincon enjoys spending time with her family. Her daughter, Maddie, is a freshman at Baylor University and her daughter, Ella, is a sophomore at I.M. Terrell High School in Fort Worth. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and working with her husband, Enrique, in real estate.
