Mr. Washburn grew up in the U.S. Air Force and is originally from Southern New Mexico. (The answer is Green!) He and his wife moved to Texas over 20 years ago. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Robotics and Automation.

Prior to entering the education field, Mr. Washburn worked in the Information Technology Industry for 15 years in a variety of disciplines.

His hobbies and interests include hiking, camping, rock climbing, programming, electronics, and robotics.
