Mr. David Sharp

My name is David Sharp and I am privileged to work and serve in the North Side community of Fort Worth.

This will be my 13th year as an educator with FWISD. I began my career by teaching Social Studies and coaching football at Rosemont Middle School before becoming an administrator at J.P. Elder. I am an alumni of Paschal High School and the University of Texas at Arlington where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in American History and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife who is a Registered Nurse at THR Harris and my 1-year old son. I also enjoy listening to vinyl records, watching baseball, and jogging.

I am a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, I have a passion for working with young people and for my city. My goal is to teach students with respect about how to make positive decisions that will prepare them for the future. Maya Angelou once said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
