Mrs. Débora Fuentes

Mrs. Débora Fuentes has served in FWISD for 14 years as a teacher assistant, dual language teacher and the last five years as assistant principal at Sam Rosen Elementary and E.M. Daggett Elementary. Mrs. Fuentes is honored and excited to be the principal at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary.

This year we have a school-wide literacy initiative we would love our families to join in to increase every child’s reading levels. Our reading theme is: “Reading is my SUPERPOWER!” We believe reading makes you a powerful thinker and problem solver, helping you learn information and taking you places only books can.

Mrs. Fuentes attended the University of Texas at Arlington for both her bachelor's and master's degree. Her favorite novels are from the Divergent Series. Her dream superpower would be a time traveler.

On my free time, I love spending time and traveling with my husband and my 3-year old son!

Please reach out to me for ideas on how to help your child be successful and feel safe and welcomed at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary every day.
