    Assistant Principal

My path to becoming an educator was not a traditional one. I have a B.S. in Business Management and Spanish Language, but after graduating was not ready to go into the business field. I moved to Gracias, Lempira, Honduras where I became a fifth-grade teacher. I loved every minute of it! I knew I had to keep working in schools. I then became a bilingual teacher in Fort Worth and have been here ever since! I was a bilingual teacher in Kindergarten and third grade at South Hills Elementary. I saw the incredible capabilities of my students and wanted to learn how to be a better educator and received my master's in education from UTA. In 2017 I was named the FWISD Teaching Chair of Excellence for Elementary Reading. In 2023 I received the Assistant Principal Excellence award for the Arlington Heights Pyramid. I am passionate about the success of every student and using creative ideas to achieve that success.
