Generalist 4-8 Social Studies Composite 8-12 Principal K-12

Ms. Sarah Fezio

Sarah Fezio has been teaching at McLean Sixth Grade for 11 years. She is a data analyst at the campus. This means she is responsible for all testing, coaching teachers about data, and a multitude of other duties as assigned. Lunch duty is one of her many responsibilities on campus. She likes lunch duty because she is able to talk to students and get to know them. She was inspired to become a teacher by her younger sister, Jennifer.

"My sister went through an alternative certification program and started teaching," Fezio said. "She loved it! Since she enjoyed it so much, I decided to follow in her footsteps."

She attended Tarrant County College earning an associate degree as part of the Cornerstone Honors program. Then Ms. Fezio attended the University of Texas in Arlington earning a Bachelor of Arts in history. Ten years later she went back to school to earn a master's degree in education technology leadership from Lamar University.

Ms. Fezio's teaching certifications include: 4-8 generalist, 8-12 social studies composite and k-12 principal.

During her free time, she is the registrar for the Fort Worth chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoys watching "Live PD," "The Dark Crystal" on Netflix, and Dallas Cowboys football. She likes Mexican food and especially enjoys dining at El Fenix. Her favorite book is "Drowntide" by Sydney J. Van Scyoc.
