My name is Allison Stephens and I am the counselor at Burton Hill Elementary. This is my 23rd year in education and my 4th year in counseling. I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at Briscoe Elementary for 12 years and PreK - 4th grades at Burton Hill Elementary for 7 years. I wanted to pursue a different avenue of working with children so I went back to school to become a counselor. I am so excited to continue this new journey of counseling and look forward to helping the students reach their academic, social, and emotional growth. My counseling mission statement is: "Building relationships with our future leaders in a nurturing and equitable environment."

I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Texas Christian University and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lamar University. I am someone who loves to learn, therefore I attend various trainings that will help me as a school counselor. I believe that learning should never stop!

I live in Fort Worth with my two daughters, Amilya (19) and Ryleigh (16), our 2 dogs (Hazel and Moana) and our cat (Monie). Our family loves to travel, play volleyball, go to TCU volleyball and football games, watch movies, and just spend time together.
