Additional secondary offerings include music AP Theory, basic theory/history, jazz band, improvization, percussion ensemble, marching band, full orchestra, chamber orchestra, guitar, applied music master classes, and specialized instrumental ensemble classes.
Vision: To provide opportunities for each student to develop his/her musical talents, self-expression, creativity and self-discipline; to have opportunities for performance in quality ensembles; to witness live, professional fine arts performances; and to develop a life-long love of music.
“We need people who think with the creative side of their brains—people who have played in a band, who have painted…it enhances symbiotic thinking capabilities, not always thinking in the same paradigm, learning how to kick-start a new idea, or how to get a job done better, less expensively.” – Annette Byrd, GlaxoSmithKline
