Sharon Perkins
Special Educaiton Strategy Specialist
Sharon received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Prairie View A&M University and completed a Special Education certification on Master’s level from Texas Women’s University. I began my career teaching students with emotional and behavioral disabilities, then moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. I have been teaching for 35 years. I have primarily been teaching as a special education teacher at Moore. I am happy to be starting my 36th year of teaching. I love our school community! And I am happy to be starting a new year. It has been a privilege to work with students and teachers at M. H. Moore Elementary on a variety of grade levels K-5th. My goals have been to create academically engaging learning experiences through an environment that fosters learning and believing that all students can learn.

My name is Yesica Buendia, I graduated from Texas A&M University- Commerce with a bachelors degree in Spanish. I’m currently enrolled in a alternative certification program to become a teacher. This is my first year at M.H. Moore and I love it I’ve meet some great people. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors with my dog. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

Hello! This is my sixteenth year of teaching overall and my second year of teaching RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) at M.H. Moore Elementary. We are looking forward to the first year of Special Olympics at M.H. Moore in several years. Our Olympians are excited to be competing against other schools. This will be a terrific year!

My name is Gabriella Sanchez. This is my first year at M.H. Moore and my first-year of teaching. I am so excited to get to learn alongside the students. I can't wait to see the growth we have as a class. I am proud to be a part of this amazing community. My hobbies include listening to Contemporary Christian music, cross-stitching and reading.This will be a great year!

Isaura Camareno

Hello! My name is Isaura Camareno Mendrell and I’m from Puerto Rico. I graduated from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. I have a Bachelor of Science and approved Master of Science Education credits. I moved to the United States in 2018. I worked for 14 years as a Science teacher in Puerto Rico, teaching sixth through ninth-grade students, as a homeroom teacher, and as coordinator of the local and regional Science Fairs. I hold Puerto Rico teacher certifications for General Science and Biology.
When I joined FWISD, I worked as a long-term sub and currently work with the RISE team at M.H. Moore Elementary.
