Panther Pride: Meet Our School Leaders
Mrs. Nkosi Geary-Smith
I have spent 17 years as an educator in Fort Worth ISD. I began my career as a substitute teacher at I.M. Terrell Elementary; after leaving the field of Journalism/Public Relations.
As a former FWISD student, it was my goal to come back and serve my community. Specifically, it is my goal to make a significant contribution to the system and global learning community.
Moreover, it is a pleasure to serve the students, parents and community of Atwood McDonald Elementary.
By collaborating with staff and the teachers as we move towards a common goal, we will ensure that authentic teaching and learning takes place to positively impact students.
Other campuses served: Sunrise McMillian, Eastern Hills Elem., Seminary Hills Park Elem. and Carter Park Elem.
Positions held: Teacher, Literacy Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal.
· Undergrad: University of Oklahoma (Journalism/Public Relations)
· Master’s Degree: The University of Texas at Arlington (Educational Leadership & Policy Studies)
Ms. Angela Richard
I am excited to partner with each of you to make Atwood McDonald Elementary a welcoming place for all students and families. Since the fall of 2000, I have served the students of FWISD as a teacher, Reading Coach, Language Arts Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. I am a graduate of the University of North Texas and Dallas Baptist University. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with friends and family, particularly my daughter, and volunteering within my community and my church.
