STUDENT ARRIVAL TIME: 2:00 PM

LOCATION: Dickies Arena, Fort Worth

CEREMONY TIME: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

FAMILY ARRIVAL TIME: Families will be allowed into the venue starting at 3:30 PM.

PARKING: Parking is FREE

SECURITY:

All visitors will go through metal detectors.

Only clear bags and purses will be admitted at the ceremony.

WHAT IS ALLOWED?:

Small flowers from outside vendors (Flowers will be sold on location at Dickies).

Small NON-HELLIUM balloons

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED?:

Air horns, cow bells, and any item that makes loud noises.

Helium balloons will NOT be allowed inside.

Posters or banners.

STUDENT DRESS CODE:

Young Men: white button-up shirt, dark dress slacks (black or navy), dark dress shoes (black, navy, blue, or burgundy) that does NOT distract from the outfit, a dress tie is suggested but not required, a sport coat is allowed but not required.

Young Ladies: dresses, dress skirts, dark slacks, pantsuits, and business-style blouses. Dress shoes. No purses. You must wear a white collar that accompanies the cap and gown.

Hairstyles: All hairstyles must accommodate the graduation cap.

Mortar Board Decorations:

- No hanging objects from hats

- No extensions above the hat more than 1/4 inch

- No profanity or inappropriate content

- No decorations on the underside of the mortar board

- No lights or confetti

Inappropriate Attire: no jeans, tennis shoes, sandals, crocks, or slides of any type.

Additional Expectations: No chewing gum, no earbuds, no silly string, no purses, no flowers on the staging area, and no family members.

IMPORTANT: Students who do not abide by the dress code expectations will not be allowed to walk across the stage. Students will be given the opportunity to correct their dress code, if possible.
