Welcome back, Fort Worth ISD teachers!

As a former student, teacher, coach, and administrator, I never take for granted the influence we can have on our students. It was a teacher’s aide who motivated me to excel during my elementary years and a very kind coordinator who moved mountains to ensure I graduated from high school. I will never forget how they both made me feel and how much of an influence they had on me. They both refused to accept that my circumstances were impediments to my learning outcomes and that made all the difference.

Teachers are impressive. You guard the vision at all costs and by all means. 

You find ways to ensure students receive the very best experiences regardless of circumstances. 

As we welcome our students back, I want to remind you of how much you mean to our district, our students, and our community. Please continue to embrace this responsibility as a means to lift, guide, and grow all of our students. On behalf of the district, welcome to the 2024-25 school year!
