When Fort Worth ISD adopted the Stopfinder app, it offered parents a new way to keep track of their children on the bus. It also increased safety measures, helping parents rest assured when their child steps on the bus.

With Stopfinder, families can keep track of buses and updated route times. In the event a bus route is delayed because of traffic, parents can get an updated estimate time of arrival. Users also get notifications when students get on and off the bus.

As an added safety measure, if a student scans their ID badge at the wrong bus stop, a light will turn red and notify both the student and driver. This measure helps parents of younger riders know their child is getting off at the correct bus stop.

Other features include an ability to text Transportation if a child left something on the bus, and alert notifications if there is an accident involving their child’s bus.
