With more than 24 years of service in Fort Worth ISD, Juanita Trevizo is a true example of dedication and commitment. She has spent the last four years working as a custodian at the Student Placement Center. Prior to that, she dedicated 20 years to working in the cafeteria at Washington Heights Elementary, where her greatest joy was receiving a smile from the children. "A smile in the morning makes your day," Juanita tells us, fondly recalling her time at the cash register.
Hubbard Heights Elementary School hosted a heartwarming event as students received 28 pairs of new shoes, thanks to Maggie’s Sole Mission, an organization founded in honor of Margarita "Maggie" Sohel.
Along with the shoes, the school received a $3,500 check to support future students in need. Additionally, Maggie’s Sole Mission will donate another $5,000 to Bruce Shulkey Elementary School, continuing the mission to provide essential footwear to Fort Worth ISD students.
