North Side Homegrown Scholarship
Due by 4pm on May 25th.
Purpose: The North Side Homegrown Scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior of North Side High school that has been accepted and will be attending a 4 year college or university.
Awards: up to $1,000 of scholarships will be awarded. All awards will be paid to the enrolled recipients’ academic institution on their behalf.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a graduating student of North Side High School.
- Applicant must have a current GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Applicant must be accepted and attending a 4 year university/college.
- Applicant must submit all required application information.
Award Selection: Recipient will be chosen by the Scholarship Committee.
Scholarship Award Criteria: Awards will be based on a short essay and criteria questions on the application. A final interview will be required as well. No one criterion will carry more weight in the selection process.
Applicants Information: Applicants must submit the following:
1. Application form with personal statement and essay (see application for details)
2. One letter of reference from a non-family member
3. Current transcript- (Your counselor will provide this)
