Shoot Your Shot at the 2021 FWISD Basketball Camp

(Thursday, April 29, 2021) -- Learn basketball fundamental skills and concepts that are the launching pad for scholastic play at the 2021 Fort Worth ISD Basketball Camp.

Open to children ages 8-14, the camp offers instruction in shooting, ball handling, offensive moves, footwork, passing, defensive positioning and rebounding from top coaches in the Fort Worth area. Campers are grouped by skill level and will be challenged based on their abilities.

The fun begins Monday, June 21 and continues through Thursday, June 24 at the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center. Register today for $25 at and don’t miss out on this enriching opportunity.

Enrollment is limited, and camp applications are being accepted first come, first serve. In addition to being trained by the area’s top basketball coaches, campers receive a FWISD camp T-shirt and the option for lunch at camp.

COVID-19 protocols including temperature checks upon entry, mid-morning and mid-afternoon will be administered to all staff and campers. Equipment will be disinfected after each session, and hand sanitizer will be available on entry, during breaks and as needed for campers. Staff will wear masks throughout the camp day, and campers are encouraged to do so as well.

Families may obtain the camp application online, by visiting the Farrington Field Office at 1501 University Drive or from a coach at their local school. 

Camp applications and payment may be completed online or submitted by mail with attention to Troy Bell, FWISD assistant director of athletics, FWISD Basketball Camp, Fort Worth Athletic Department at 1501 University Drive, Fort Worth, 76107. Children accepted for the camp will be contacted via phone after June 11.
