Fort Worth ISD Schools Receive Supply Boxes from Kroger
Fort Worth ISD is the recipient of more than 7,000 school supply kits donated by Kroger.
The Kroger 2021 Backpack Boosters campaign ran for two weeks in July, and shoppers inNorth Texas and Louisianagenerously provided funds to make this year’s campaign a huge success.
More than $700, 000 was raised to provide supply kits to approximately 80,000 students in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas. The kits contain pencils, markers, notebook paper, and other classroom essentials.
Kroger is a longtime partner with the Fort Worth ISD, donating school supplies each fall. In addition, Kroger sponsors the Academic Chair for Teaching Excellence in Special Education, providing a $5,000 honorarium to the winning teachers.
“We understand how important it is for students to have access to the proper resources and tools needed to help enrich their lives and make their educational journey a success,” shared April Martin, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger.
Receiving schools will distribute supplies throughout the fall.
