Fort Worth ISD Plans Dec 4 Hiring Fair for New and Student Teachers; Candidates Will Be Offered Letters of Intent ‘On the Spot’
What: New and Student Teacher Hiring Fair
When: December 4, 9 a.m. to noon
Where: FWISD Teaching and Learning Center 1050 Bridgewood Drive, 76112
Who: New and student teachers
The Fort Worth ISD will offer letters of intent “on the spot” during an in-person teacher hiring fair on Saturday, December 4. Prospective employees will meet with principals face-to-face and learn about monetary incentives in addition to the District’s starting teacher salary of $58,000.
In fact, a combination of one-time signing bonuses and annual stipends could potentially boost a first-time teacher’s salary to $69,500.
Bilingual applicants may be able to earn both a signing bonus and an annual stipend.
Recent college graduates or those who will graduate in December or in the spring are urged to attend.
For four hours, job candidates will have the opportunity to meet with campus principals to learn more about individual schools and opportunities. Other administrators will be on hand to share information about time off, health and life insurance, and the District’sPerks Plus, which offers FWISD employees discounts on products and services at multiple area businesses.
Attendees are encouraged to register before November 30 so the District can provide principals with a list of potential job candidates. However, walk-ins are welcome, and FWISD will have a “help desk” on site to assist job applicants with obtaining all relevant information.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at the beautiful new Fort Worth ISD Teaching and Learning Center, located at 1050 Bridgewood Drive, 76112 – just off Interstate 30 in east Fort Worth.
