FWISD David K. Sellars Elementary School Celebrates “A” State Accountability Rating with Community Event

Join Fort Worth ISD Trustee Wallace Bridges, Principal Delain Sandifer, and Forest Hill Mayor Stephanie Boardingham for a festive event celebrating David K. Sellars Elementary School’s “A” state accountability rating.

David K. Sellars Elementary students remained committed to excellence and worked hard to achieve the “A” rating. Accordingly, “Mattic Mustangs Maintain Momentum:  Celebrating an “A” Rated Campus” is the theme for the community event taking place in the school courtyard Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Sellars’ 2021-2022 Interim Principal Joann Dickerson will present brief remarks to recognize the hard work and continued focus of the staff. Also attending will be Executive Director Dr.Marion Mouton and Chief of Schools Jerry Moore.

Early in the 2021-2022 school year, beloved Sellars principal Mr. Steven Mattic passed away.  His family will be present to receive recognition. 

Students, staff, families, and community members are all welcome. Forest Hill city officials, firefighters, and police plan to join the festivities.

Remarks will begin at 5:30 p.m., and fun, music, and refreshments will follow. Tashara Parker, WFAA news reporter and anchor, will serve as master of ceremonies for the celebration.
