FWISD Secondary Students Encouraged To Attend Virtual College 101 Event
(Tuesday, January 26, 2021) -- Fort Worth ISD middle and high school students are encouraged to participate in the virtual College 101 event, sponsored by the Hispanic College Fund.
College 101 is a FREE bilingual webinar held on weekday evenings in various time zones for students in sixth – 12th grade and their parents to receive valuable information about how to prepare, plan, and pay for a college education!
This event is tailored to address the needs of ALL students and their families. You can choose to receive information in either English or Spanish. People of all ethnicities and backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
Subject-matter experts will present the curriculum and cover topics including:
- Preparing for and applying to college
- Researching financial aid and scholarship opportunities
- Understanding the real cost of a college education
Additionally, the webinar will feature a panel with Admissions and Financial Aid professionals from varying universities.
Participants can choose between three webinar dates and times. NOTE: Some sessions are being held in different time zones. All bolded times show the correct time for Fort Worth.
