FWISD Students Advance to FBLA State Contest
Multiple Fort Worth ISD students are advancing to the Future Business Leaders of America state competition this March in Dallas.
More than 70 FWISD students from Paschal, Polytechnic and South Hills high schools qualified for state after competing in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Area 7 Leadership Conference and Competitive Events, Saturday, January 27 in Keller.
Three Paschal High School students were elected to Area 7 Leadership officer positions at the conference. The newly elected officers are: Nyssa Dominguez, treasurer; Camrynn Jaco, reporter/historian and Jordan Pieper, secretary. The students will assist in coordinating leadership conferences, area contests and facilitate all Area 7 FBLA events.
A total of 19 schools competed in the area contest, which tested student’s business knowledge and skills in areas including marketing and finance.
Paschal High School sent 68 students to the area competition, and 48 qualified for state. The following Paschal students placed at the area contest and are advancing to state:

Polytechnic High School sent four students to the area competition, and two are advancing to state. They are: Carrington Baxter, second place, Electronic Career Portfolio and Franeth Sanchez, second place, computer game and simulation programming.
Of the 32 students from South Hills that competed in the area competition, 23 qualified for state. They are:
