HS Summer Semester Underway
Fort Worth ISD’s Summer Semester officially gets underway, June 18 and 19.
Students registered for the semester are to report to their assigned schools either June 18 or 19 for a morning or afternoon session based on the first letter of their last name.
Fort Worth ISD’s Summer Semester 2019 allows students to recover course credits, take classes to get ahead, retake STAAR/EOC exams or prepare for PSAT/ SAT tests.
The following high schools are open for the Summer Semester:
- South Hills High
- Western Hills
- Trimble Tech
- Eastern Hills
Students should bring a laptop or a completed technology user agreement form signed by a parent in order to check out a computer for summer school. Students will also need to bring earbuds or headphones. Students are expected to abide by the Fort Worth ISD dress code and code of conduct at summer school.
Remember that every student needs to bring a laptop or the agreement form in order to receive a FWISD laptop. For a copy of this agreement, a bus schedule or more first day of school directions, visit www.fwisd.org/summerschool.
Summer Semester continues Monday through Thursday until July 25. There is no school, Thursday, July 4 because of the Independence Day holiday.
The Summer Semester graduation ceremony is slated for 7 p.m. August 16 at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd.
