Waverly Park Elementary will be hosting Career Day on Friday, June 4th! The purpose of Career Day is to bring awareness to a variety of career opportunities. We would like to encourage your child to pay attention to things they enjoy, notice what makes them smile, and investigate occupations all around them. By doing these things, your child may find the career path that’s suited best for them. A bonus to preparing early is students are more likely to be college, career and/or military ready after high school graduation.
This year, Waverly Park’s Career Day will be a little different. Since we must follow COVID19 protocols, this is the best time for your child to begin investigating a career they’re interested in learning about. That’s right! This year’s Career Day will be put on by our very own Waverly Park Tigers.

 

Here’s what your child will need to do to prepare:
• Choose a career to learn about
• Fill out their Career Day presentation form (We will send a copy home)
• Practice their presentation at home-(2-3 minutes)
• Dress as their chosen career on June 4th-WP Career Day
• Present to their class

We are excited to have our very own students as our guest presenters! In addition to being guest speakers, your child will be entered into a drawing and could win an awesome prize for their participation.

El dia de la profesiones sera el 4 de junio y como este curso es algo diferente sin visitantes, necesitamos su ayuda. Por ayude a su estudiante a elegir una carrera. Le mandaremos una forma con su estudiante que tendran que llenar. Haga que su estudiante practique su presentacion en casa, luego la presentara a sus amigos en la escueal. El dia 4 de junio su estudiante puede venir vestido de la profesion que quiere ser de mayor.
